New cover art, Updated Demo and portmortem


Hello, this is Saitoki.

Last month had been hectic, as I didn't originally plan to join yaoi jam. This all started with an O2A2 Jam project during the  last week of July. Kusoneko and I wanted to do a short story about adventurers in a high fantasy setting, I took care of the art and was quite excited about designing cool adventurer in costume. Unfortunatelly, what we wanted to do was too hard to code in Renpy, and at the end we dropped the project.

By that time I already finished Sylas's sprite and really liked it, and during O2A2 project concept I already wanted to add some BL hint in the story. And then I realized I'm in the middle of Yaoi Jam period. Now I could totally make this a full blown BL without any word count limitation! So, the crunching started, as I was already one month behind. 

The plot I made up ended up being completely different, but I still kept the character's name from original O2A2 plan (Kusoneko named them). The first three weeks was spent on writing script, drawing sprites and BG. All  of the CG in game was drawn during the last week of August. It was terrible crunch time with barely a few hours of sleep each day while still going to work. I was surprised I pulled it off with 6 CGs when the jam ended, even if some of them are sketchy / monochrome. I wasn't even able to draw a proper cover art, or make custom UI, or add music for the game.  Still, I was quite proud of the result, as the game arts put together turned out just as I hoped.

So here is today update:

-Added two extra character profile CGs to the game 

-Mashed together a new cover art

-Make a  game title logo 

-Minor change to the UI and switch fonts so it look a fit the main menu art better 

The UI is not final, as I'm still talking my time figure it out. Same about main menu art, I have a plan for it but it's going to take time, and  also music. 

Just a prior notice: I will pause working on this project for now, as I'm so close to finishing Seven days before Halloween and hoped to finish it around Halloween.
