Demo release and postmortem


Hello, this is Saitoki.

This has been  some hectic  months and finally  this demo is out. Apocalypse  encounter a project  I started in late September  for Spooktober.  As I had a late start, I decided  to just make a short demo, as this idea is potentially  longer than my previous  story.  

Still, my dayjob had been a lot more busy. As a result, I did a lot of late minute  crunching in the last few days of September.  With Kusoneko's editing help, I could  have managed to make it to Spooktober (with sketchy CG) if not for some last minute  bug. Since I was late anyway,  I decided  to  fully render the CGs and draw the Main menu art ( current one is placeholder) and submit to Devtober. Still, because  I thought  I got another  whole month, this started a circle of procastination  and last minutes crunching. As a result, main menu art still unfinished, one of the CG was still sketchy ( though I think it fit the scenarios xD)

Now that all the Jam pressure  is out of the way, I will  try to develop  the game in a healthier pace. I really  like this idea and want to bring with it a satisfying  story.

I will probably  prioritize last year (failed) Spooktober  project  first  though  because  most of the arts for that one are finished.
